Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Love is a marvellous, important thing that no one should do without. So, it's good to celebrate love once in a while--in whatever form you're most comfortable and is most meaningful to you. (It doesn't have to be the standard variety. Just do something nice for yourself or someone else.) Dane and I are planning to see Warm Bodies tonight at the Alamo Drafthouse--because nothing says Be My Valentine like a movie about necrophilia. (So Martin said.) Me, I thought it'd be funny. And I really, really like laughing with Dane. A lot. And a good rom-com with zingy dialog is our favorite. I've still got my fingers crossed for Godiva chocolate, though. [cough]
Speaking of coughing... in preparation for con season I got a flu shot. My timing wasn't the best, alas. Thus, I've been dealing with a low grade version of the big bad ever since. So, I've not blogged because I've felt like crap for a while. Plus, I'm currently working on two novels and two short stories all at once.[1] Yeah. I've been busy. I expect to be feeling off today too, but not so bad that I can't get myself together for the first con of the season tomorrow: ConDFW. Yep, I'll be there. Am hoping that this year will be more fun than last year. (Last year was kind of disappointing.) We'll see. I'll post my schedule tomorrow morning as things seem to be still in flux and the information isn't exactly easy to sort out at the moment. (It may be the flu shot.)

Unfortunately, I go without love. But that is my life, my cross and my desert of the real. Such is life.
