So, I got feedback on the new novel yesterday, and I've been mentally processing it. Mind you, there isn't much to process, but the way my brain works is... well... special sometimes. I tend to go into panic mode on the first round. I'm not sure why. I think it's that my inner critic goes off the rails. Therefore, dark chocolate mint had to be located, STAT. And then I could read it, discover that there were no hidden messages stating that the thing sucked worse than a vacuum cleaner in a vacuum and that my agent secretly hates me or something. (I'm hugely slow sometimes.*) Ten years from now, I think I'll finally settle in to this idea that my wonderful agent really does love my work. (We can only hope it'll be sooner rather than later.) Yeah. That. Therefore, yesterday I was too twitchy to be on the internet. It's good that I know myself well enough to know what to do. It makes things far less crazy.
Watched TopGear or the first time tonight. That was a blast. Holy crap, why haven't I been watching that show all this time? Why? :)
Oh. Also? I'm joining up with a few other authors on a new website called BookSworn. More details as they come about. I've been working on the logo for the site. It's been a long time since I doodled. It's actually been kind of fun. Will load up a trial version of Photoshop and pretty it up. And then there'll be the headers. And writing. I've been writing. Progress is slower but I'll probably hit 50,000 words at the end of the week. I'm rather proud of that.
Here's hoping your week is going well.

* Once upon a time, there was a Stina-bride who was so convinced that she would never be married that on her wedding day she sat a little too long in the bride's room, and thus, frightened everyone. Seriously, I was totally convinced someone would come running in to tell me that Dane had bolted for freedom at the last second. All the bridesmaids were already gone. Everyone was waiting on me. It took my Dad peeping around the corner to clue me in. "Stina, you're coming out of there. Right?" Oh. OhmygodI'mgettingmarried! BLAM! wo tons of reality slapped me in the back of the head all at once.

Ah, Top Gear.... The level of political uncorrectness can be eye-watering and Clarkson is sometimes a prat, but it is also a lot of fun.
Clarkson is right wing, by UK standards and is often crass about things -- I don't think he's actually homophobic or racist or even sexist in a big way, but he makes 'jokes' that are variably unfunny, and May and Hammond grumble at him. It's part of the triple act, in many ways, but he tends to voice the ideas of the Little Englanders, who are not my favourite people -- small c conservatives who like 'the old ways'.
The best thing about TG is when they have challenges or go on expeditions, which are frequently hilarious. You need to see the one in which Hammond and May try to put a Reliant Robin (do you have those in the US? Small, unstable, three-wheeled cars) into orbit. The best piece of sf tv I've seen in years -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJdr
