This year seems to have started off really well already. Sold Texas Died for Somebody's Sins But Not Mine (a SF short story) to the Ray Guns Over Texas anthology edited by Rick Klaw. It'll come out in August of this year--just in time for World Con. This is a first for me. (It counts as my first really real short story sale. :)) So, there you are. Like Last Drink Bird Head, it's a SF story. Short stories are hard for me. They seem to take me forever to get right. SF short stories are even tougher--largely because I don't have much confidence in myself regarding the SF aspects. Anyway, many thanks to Melissa Tyler, Christie Yant, and Marshall Maresca for braving the first read and for the feedback. It was (obviously) very helpful. And thanks to Rick for being so patient with me.
Thus starts the results from my New Year's resolution to write more. Not bad. Not bad at all.
