I can't spend a lot of time here today. I took yesterday off for a much needed post-Armadillocon rest. Today, I've a lot of stuff to catch up with--starting with the last few Armadillocon details that need wrapping up. And then there's getting feedback to a certain someone on their manuscript and my own writing. (Holy cow, do I need to wrap that up.) With that, here are a couple of last minute links:
What you need to know about Pussy Riot -- members of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot have been arrested and are being put on trial for expressing criticism of Putin in an Orthodox Catholic Church. That's so incredibly brave. I don't even know where to start. Unfortunately, it looks like they're going to do seven years in prison for doing it. Yikes. I hope they aren't convicted. I'm thinking positive thoughts for them.
Readercon. Yeah. That happened. Here's the latest round up of links and information regarding what's going on. I haven't read it all yet. (Did I mention I've a ton of things to round up today?) But I will. I have to. I'm glad to see these discussions getting more and more attention. It means we're close to a solution. I'm hoping it'll be a positive one for the genre community.
