So, today is another one of those days where we throw things on the grill. However, Melissa Tyler, Marshall Maresca and I spent the afternoon slaving over the Armadillocon Writer's Workshop... er... work. The good news is the biggest bulk of things is done. There are two other big humps ahead, but at least that one is behind us. Phew! Thank goodness for Melissa and Marshall. I seriously wouldn't be able to do it without them. Marshall, in particular, was a huge help this year. Huge. He kept things organized and moving while I focused on my latest manuscript.
Speaking of, I hit 84,500 words yesterday. Of course, I'm rewriting a chapter that really needed it, and yanked a good 2000 words, but it needed to be done. Still very happy with the progress on Cold Iron. More on that later. I'm off to eat grilled things and maybe drink some wine. :)
Happy July 4th to the U.S.ians on my friends list!
