The temperatures are rising. At least it's not crazy bad, yet. Been pulling together some thoughts about Kung fu so I can bounce them over to Sifu later this week. (He asked me to write some blog posts for the school blog.) Mostly, I'm not sure what to say. Everything he posts is amazing. I've only got my beginner experiences. I don't know. It's one of those things. (Been going through a patch of insecurity for some reason. I'll get over it.) Made tortilla soup in the slow cooker. It turned out wonderful. I really do dig that cooker. It's amazing. Watched a little bit of St.Trinian's during lunch. That film makes me giggle. I enjoy the thought of a girl's school that turns out powerful young women who definitely don't color inside the lines. Walked with Dane around the neighborhood tonight. The purple sage is blooming, and it smells pretty wonderful. My herb garden is still doing well. Both mint plants are taking off like mad. Even the onions I planted are leafing out. The echinacea is doing really well too -- now that I've stopped over-watering it. (D'oh!) I've planted some Butterfly Plant seeds, and next I'm going to try some chamomile. It's currently in the freezer. The package said the seeds do better if exposed to cold. (This alone makes me think the poor suckers are doomed to fry in the dreaded heat... doomed I tell ye!) Other than that and some writing, there's not a lot going on around here. Oh, the ever so exciting life of a writer. :) In other news, Dane's office was evacuated due to a gas leak. He ended up coming home early. No one was hurt, but Dane said it was interesting seeing the construction workers run around like their ant mound had been stomped by a giant, sadistic five year old. He said they wouldn't even let them start their cars to flee the area. Apparently, Bioware (next door) didn't get the memo. I guess it's a good thing nothing terrible happened.
